If so, our Inbound Receiving Manager role at Merit Manufacturing could be your perfect match. We’re looking for someone who can manage incoming shipments, track inventory with precision, and lead a small team of forklift drivers to keep our warehouse in top shape. Your Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the schedule for all inbound Full Truckload (FTL) and Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments.
  • Ensure all received items are accurately entered into our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and properly put away.
  • Oversee the organization and tracking of inventory to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead a team of 3-5 forklift drivers, ensuring smooth and timely handling of incoming goods.
  • Schedule and coordinate transfers between buildings to keep inventory flowing where it's needed.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure pick lists are fulfilled and manufacturing has the right materials.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about inbound shipments and confirm the accurate receipt of goods.
  • Maintain a clean, organized receiving area and uphold facility standards for safety, cleanliness, and documentation.
  • Be a team player! When inbound tasks are done, you’ll assist other areas of the warehouse to keep everything running like clockwork.

Are you Qualified?

  • Proven experience in receiving, logistics, or warehouse management, preferably handling inbound operations.
  • Forklift certification (or a willingness to get certified) and the ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of FTL and LTL receiving processes and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other logistics software.
  • Excellent communication skills—you can clearly interact with customers and collaborate with internal teams.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple incoming shipments and maintain accurate records.
  • A hands-on attitude—this isn’t a desk job. You’ll be on your feet and working alongside your team throughout the day.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to assist other departments when needed.

Experience

3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
