If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Outbound Shipping Manager role at Merit Manufacturing. We’re looking for someone who can handle everything from preparing and checking shipments to driving a forklift like a pro. Your Main Responsibilities

Oversee all outbound shipments, including Full Truckload (FTL) and Less Than Truckload (LTL) deliveries to our customers.
Prepare and verify shipping manifests to ensure accurate documentation.
Confirm and update shipments in our Warehouse Management System (WMS) with precision and speed.
Operate a forklift to load, unload, and organize outbound shipments.
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers regarding outbound shipments, ensuring they have the information they need.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth, on-time shipments and resolve any issues quickly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shipping area.
Be a team player! When outbound tasks are done, you’ll jump in to assist other areas of the warehouse to keep operations running smoothly.

Are you Qualified?

Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role, preferably managing outbound shipments.
Forklift certification (or a willingness to get certified) and the ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
Strong understanding of FTL and LTL shipping processes and documentation.
Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other logistics software.
Exceptional communication skills—you can talk to customers and collaborate with internal teams without missing a beat.
Ability to stay organized and handle multiple shipments while maintaining high attention to detail.
A hands-on attitude—this isn’t a desk job. You’ll be on your feet and actively involved throughout the day.
A proactive mindset and willingness to assist other departments when needed.

Experience

3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Commitment to safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
