Your Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Compounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mixing and compounding products according to precise formulas. The Senior Compounder will ensure the highest quality and consistency of our products by meticulously following instructions, adhering to safety guidelines, following SOPs, and maintaining detailed documentation.

In this role, you will get to create batches from 5 gallons to 2,000 gallons of every kind of product from shampoos, to oils, to high-end skin creams. You’ll get to go home every day knowing that you created products that millions of customers around the country are using and enjoying every day. You’ll experience the satisfaction of going into a local store, picking up a product, and knowing that you are the one to mixed it.

Compounding

Accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw materials to produce batches of personal care products according to specified formulas and SOPs.

Documentation

Maintain detailed records of all compounding activities, including lot numbers, batch numbers, temperatures, and any deviations from the process. Ensure that all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.

Quality Control

Follow all safety guidelines and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to ensure that products meet the highest quality standards. Monitor the production process to ensure consistency and identify any issues that could affect product quality.

Safety Compliance

Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe handling practices when working with hazardous materials.

Equipment Operation

Operate and maintain compounding equipment, including mixers, blenders, and scales, ensuring they are clean, calibrated, and functioning correctly. Report any equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team promptly.

Physical Requirements

Spend the majority of the workday on your feet, lifting and moving heavy materials (up to [insert weight limit]). Ensure that physical tasks are performed safely and efficiently.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with other team members to meet production deadlines. Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of batches.

Continuous Improvement

Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.

Time Management

Manage time effectively to ensure that all tasks are completed according to the production schedule. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance to meet manufacturing deadlines.

Are you Qualified?

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a compounding or mixing role within a personal care, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing environment.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial manufacturing equipment and procedures.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay Rate: Starts at $23/hr Adjusted Based on Experience
